In the main game of last Thursday’s five-a-side soccer competition, Black Puta drew 2-0 against The Rock.

Defending champs Black Puta were stunned by an early goal in the first minute when a free kick was awarded to The Rock and Paavo Mustonen took a firing shot at goal.

Branden Turepu of Black Puta replied with a goal before the first half break where the ball deflected off the goal keeper’s arm to find the back of the net.

Midway through the second half The Rock took the lead through another goal by Marcelo Rairoa which got his team mates fired-up to defend their goal area.

It looked to be heading for an upset but with a minute remaining Mii Joseph equalised.

In the other matches All Stars defeated Avatiu No Girls 4-3 while Warriors thrashed Maro Bhago 6-0.

Virgin Ave beat Who Cares by two goals to nil.

All games today will be played at the CIFA complex with the women’s division taking to the pitch at 4.45pm with the main game to be played between Black Qwenz and Avatiu No Boys. Following the women’s games will be the men’s teams.
