After last week’s matches, the final Week 2 placings in the CITC Rarotonga Club Sevens 1st, Eels, 2nd, Panthers, 3rd, Reds, 4th, Dragons, 5th, Cowboys and 6th, Bulls.

So this week the Week 3 pools are as follows: Pool A: Eels, Dragons, Cowboys; Pool B: Panthers, Reds, Bulls. This week’s games will be played on Saturday at the Ngatangiia Rugby Field starting at 2pm – refer to the draw on the left.

After playing in wet conditions for the past two weeks a dry track at the Ngatangiia Rugby Field is predicted so the fitness, skills, speed and intensity will definitely lift for this weekend’s matches.

With all teams now accustomed to the competition format and its requirements (three matches each week), the reduced substitution rules together with the additional pressure to consistently perform in each match this should make for some interesting ‘surprise results’ this weekend....maybe?

In Pool A: Eels v Cowboys – after a 5-all draw on Week 1, and a 14-19 loss last week(after the Cowboys lead 14 nil at one stage) can the Cowboys upset this years leaders the Eels in Pool-play? Be at the Ngatangiia Rugby Field this Saturday at 2pm to find out this week’s ‘surprises’ and this weeks winners. Be reading tomorrow’s CI News as we will tell you about the top try scorers and top point scorers in this year’s CITC Rarotonga Club Sevens competition.
