Thursday 26: Key executive jobs will be confirmed tonight for the big year ahead in hosting the World Youth Netball Championships in August, and the Pacific Mini Games in September-October.

The Cook Islands Netball Association is holding its annual general meeting tonight.

The meeting will receive a report from the president Margharet Matenga, and will carry out elections for the vacant positions on the executive. It will also hear updates on the WYC, the mini games and the ranking tournaments for the national senior side.

Today also sees a start to the seventh week of the Rarotonga netball competition.

There will be a reserve grade game today at Tupapa between the host club and Arorangi to kick off the weekend’s round of games.

Umpires for that game are Terai Ama and Tiniura Wichman (reserve umpire Tupe Tamatoa).

The open grade matches will be played tomorrow, Friday, beginning at 5pm. -MM
