Rarotonga’s first baby born in 2022 has arrived to proud and happy parents Sevarna Ngatamariki and Ngatokorua Tonorio.

However, the precious bundle decided he would take his time getting here.

Joshua John Xavier Tonorio arrived on January 2, 2022 at 5.54pm at Rarotonga hospital weighing 7 pounds 8 ounces.

His mother Sevarna said her son sleeps and feeds well and was pleased to know he is the first baby for 2022.

The island’s last baby born for 2021 arrived on December 29.
