Children from the Avatiu soccer club had fi lled up with water and were raring to go, on their way to training recently. There will be a celebration at the Tapere Avatiu community centre this Friday at 5pm as their water station turns one. 17100401

For the past year, the Tapere Avatiu community centre’s drinking water station has been quenching the thirst of many local residents, as well as many dozens of tourists who fill their drinking bottles on their way to conquering the Needle.
