A legal advisor for Aronga Mana landowners is proposing a meeting of all landowners of Ngati Teaia and Nukupure 3C to decide the future of the Muri community hall and clinic.

This will determine whether a $25,000 clinic upgrade to include doctor, dentist and nursing services will go ahead.

The legal advice is to establish a native reserve over 3C and appoint a management committee, to avoid court proceedings.

Mata-Atua McNair could be challenged as chair of an ownership committee after threatening to evict the puna committee from the clinic. There are two groups of landowners: one represented byMcNair, another by Teaia Mataiapo and the Komono and Aronga Mana.
