Nail-biting clashes loom in final round

The final round matches of the Rarotonga Football Season are set to take place today. Matches for Round 15 began last week ahead of the departure of the national players who will represent the Cook Islands at the 2023 Pacific Games in Honiara.

Several exciting games have been lined up across different age categories and fields, with sports fans looking forward to witnessing nail-biting clashes between talented teams.

At the CIFA Field, the day’s action kicks off at 11:15am with an Under-15 Boys match between Titikaveka FC and Nikao FC. Upcoming young talents like Robert Savage Sr, Sounu Gemton, and Junior Paniani will be showcasing their skills in what promises to be an exciting game.

Following the U15 Boys’ game, the U15 Girls from both teams will make their presence felt as Titikaveka FC squares off against Nikao FC at 12:15pm. Witness the skills of young athletes like Tunui Tunui, and Tom Clayton as they battle it out on the field.

The U18 Men’s match is scheduled for 1:15pm, featuring another exciting clash between Titikaveka FC and Nikao FC. The match will be managed by referees John Pareanga, Robert Savage Sr, Terry Piri, and Rakesh Varman as they give their all in this thrilling encounter.

At 2:40pm, senior women from Titikaveka FC will be taking on Nikao FC in a game that is poised to demonstrate some excellent team strategies and individual skill displays.

Over at Puaikura Field, the U15 Boys teams of Puaikura FC and Tupapa FC meet at 11:15am in a head-on battle.

Continuing with the action-packed day, the U15 Girls match between Puaikura FC and Tupapa FC commences at 12:15pm. Lai Gukisuva, Jaceleine Pukerua, and Romanu Maetaua will officiate this clash.

Finally, the U18 Men's match sees both Puaikura FC and Tupapa FC teams fighting for glory in today’s final round of matches. The game is scheduled for 1:15pm with referees George George, Tuakeu Paerau, Ioane Brogan, and Lai Gukisuva taking charge.
