As the excitement of Round 14 of the local football league came to an end, fans witnessed some amazing matches across all age categories.

From the youngest Under-8 teams displaying their budding skills to the senior Premier Men’s teams showcasing their top-notch talent, it was a day full of surprises for both fans and players alike.

Starting off with the U8 category, Nikao FC emerged victorious against Puaikura FC 3-1. In another match, Matavera FC narrowly defeated Titikaveka FC with a score of 2-1. Lastly, competition heated up as Tupapa FC played against Avatiu FC and the match ended with a 2-all draw.

Moving on to the U10 bracket, Nikao FC continued their dominance by defeating Puaikura FC with a score of 5-0. Matavera FC registered another win against Titikaveka FC in a closely contested match that ended 2-1. Meanwhile, Avatiu FC pushed hard on the field and scored an impressive victory against Tupapa FC, finishing the match at 8-1.

In U12, Nikao FC carried on their winning streak by securing an emphatic 9-0 triumph over Puaikura FC. Titikaveka FC bounced back from their previous losses by overcoming Matavera FC with a final score of 3-1. Tupapa FC and Avatiu FC gave fans an entertaining performance that ultimately resulted in a tightly contested draw at 1-1.

In the girls U15 category, Nikao FC defeated Puaikura FC 2-0, Titikaveka FC secured victory over Matavera FC 3-1 and Tupapa FC demonstrated their prowess as well, shutting out Avatiu FC with a result of 3-0.

As for the U15 Boys’ category, Nikao FC continued to showcase an impressive form by beating Puaikura FC 3-0. However, Titikaveka FC and Matavera FC held each other off in a nail-biting stalemate that finished nil-all. Avatiu FC crushed Tupapa FC 8-0.

The tension grew as the U18 Men took to the field, with Nikao FC registering a decisive victory over Puaikura FC, the final score being 4-1. Titikaveka FC displayed some fantastic teamwork to defeat Matavera FC 2-0. Tupapa FC managed to secure a narrow victory against Avatiu FC, closing out their game with a score of 1-0.

In the Senior Women’s division, Puaikura FC executed a stunning turnaround as they trampled over Nikao FC with a crushing 9-0 win. Titikaveka FC showed great resilience in defeating Matavera FC by a single goal while the electrifying match between Tupapa FC and Avatiu FC resulted in a goalless draw.

Finally, in the much-awaited Premier Men’s category, Nikao FC continued to assert their prowess by defeating Puaikura FC 3-0, Titikaveka held strong against Matavera to win 3-0 and in a closely fought match of the day, Tupapa snatched 1-0 win over Avatiu to claim the Tower Insurance Premiership title.
