The second round of the Rarotonga Netball Club Competition promises to deliver thrilling matches as the top teams vie for supremacy on the court.

As Netball Cook Islands builds up towards the Oceania Under 21 Netball qualifiers later in the year, the emphasis is on the club premier teams as most U21 players will be looking forward to impress the selection panel.

The stage is set for an intense clash as the Ngatangiia/Matavera netters go head-to-head with Tupapa today. With both teams boasting a mix of seasoned veterans and up-and-coming talent, spectators can expect a display of skill and strategy that will keep them on the edge of their seats.

Meanwhile, over in Takuvaine, all eyes will be on the clash between Takuvaine and Arorangi prems. These teams are no strangers to competition, and their determination to secure victory will undoubtedly result in a fiercely contested match-up.

However, the highlight of the round will undoubtedly be the highly anticipated match between archrivals Avatiu and Titikaveka. Having both demonstrated impressive form in round one, anticipation is high for this clash of the titans. Expectations are elevated as fans eagerly anticipate a display of exceptional athleticism and tactical prowess from both sides.

Penny Crocombe, an Avatiu netball veteran, states: “Netball at this stage is looking promising for the younger generation ... we are working closely with young players and preparing well for the season.”

With such enthusiasm and dedication evident at club level, the future of netball in the Cook Islands appears bright.
