The past week witnessed a series of electrifying netball semi-finals that set the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable showdown in both the Open 1 and Open 2 grades this afternoon at Arorangi courts.

The competition was fierce as the top four netball clubs vied for the prestigious final two placements, culminating in intense matches that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

In the Open 1 grade, the semi-final match between Titikaveka and Ngatangiia was a true clash of the titans. Both teams displayed exceptional skill and determination, resulting in a closely contested match. Titikaveka managed to secure a narrow victory, edging out Ngatangiia by just two points with a final score of 16-13.

The second semi-final saw Tupapa face off against the hosts, Arorangi Flames. Arorangi delivered a dominant performance, igniting the court with their fiery playstyle and securing a decisive 10-goal margin victory over Tupapa, ending the match at 31-21.

The Open 2 grade semi-finals were equally thrilling. Arorangi continued their impressive form, this time overpowering Ngatangiia with a staggering 33-13 victory. The Flames’ relentless offence and airtight defence left Ngatangiia struggling to keep up, securing Arorangi’s place in the final.

Avatiu’s clash with Titikaveka in the Open 2 semi-final was a closer contest, with both teams battling fiercely for supremacy. Avatiu ultimately emerged victorious, clinching a 19-16 win that demonstrated their tactical insight and tenacity
