It will be do or die for teams playing in the Knockout stage of the Rarotonga Netball Club competition today.

The top two teams from each grade have made it through to the semi-finals, today’s matches will determine the other teams for the top four battle.

Defending premier division champions Titikaveka and last year’s runners up Avatiu as well as TKV are through to the semi-finals after finishing in top three respectively.

Tupapa will play Arorangi today for the lone semis spot.

The two teams have met twice this season with Tupapa winning in the first round and Arorangi claiming round two battle.

Tupapa coach Mere Kamana said they would be missing their key player Norma Pepe who is in Fiji with the national team for the World Cup Qualifiers to be held from July 19 to 23.

“She plays GK (goal keeper), a key role and the challenge this week has been looking for someone to cover that position,” said Kamana, a former national rep.

“Arorangi will be hungry for win and so are we and it will come down to who has the best side and who wants it more.”

Arorangi will miss the services of Jordayn Matutu and Romehael Rauraa who are also with the national side.

In the reserves grade, Avatiu and Titikaveka have made it into the semis. The other teams through to the semis are Takuvaine and Avatiu in the open 2 grade, Avatiu and Ngatangiia Matavera in open 1, Avatiu and Tupapa in 15 and under, Arorangi and Avatiu in 12U and 10U, Arorangi and Ngatangiia Matavera in 8U and Ngatangiia Matavera and Titikaveka in 6U.

The knockout and semis matches will be played at Ngatangiia/Matavera Courts in Muri.
