The Atiu Easter Fishing Competition hosted by the Atiu branch of Kōrero o te ‘Ōrau’s ‘Ātui’anga ki te Tango (AKTT) programme drew fantastic support from the community.

Beautiful weather encouraged the children, to head out to the reef with their rods and buckets, while the fishing boats and pai’rere headed out to the big blue.

An organiser said: “The day went well and smoothly and everyone enjoyed themselves.”

“Meitaki Rānuinui to all the boats that participated in this year’s competition and our participants in reef fishing across all ages male and female.”
