Letter: Looking for a slim waistline

Dear Editor, Ministry of Health Secretary Bob Williams comes out swinging, downgrading the world health report to being the same trend as previous years, meaning nothing has changed and they have not improved matters.

Health care might be there, but you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.

He says they try to get the horse there but, well, everyone has a big butt and that is the problem.

Will Minister Rose and Te Hani Brown put down their eggs benedict long enough to address the nation seeing as one is the Minister of Health and the other the advocate for youth.

From observation they have followed the same trend as those studied since making office.

Williams goes on to say that they will engage with fitness programs in sports clubs and at CISNOC.

There is another joke, just look at the sports leaders of CISNOC telling us how to live when their rate of health has decreased with the increase in their waistlines.

The only one that looks fitter and not fatter is Owen Lewis, probably because he is spinning so many plates, stories and jobs, he is slimmer, all the better to fly business class to China instead of starting his new education job.

So Prime Minister Mark Brown tells us again how we will improve our community with this type of education and sport leadership. Yeah, nah, I doubt it.
