Letter: Dual roles

Owen Lewis is in the news again (Sporting body questions Lewis’ dual roles, February 3, 2024). It is good to hear sports federations speak up. If one thinks it, guarantee the others think it too.

I wonder if he met his KPI as CISNOC secretary general and whether his kids whom he left in charge while he was away working in another country and double dipping with his wages here.

Hugh Graham said the board had a weekend retreat to discuss Owen’s resignation but he went as well.

He never gave notice of leaving so why does he get a staycation? In case anyone forgot CISNOC postponed the prize giving of the Beach Games so they could go away and play beach games in Aitutaki.

Another example of the lack of professionalism we can expect from Lewis in Education. First week on the Education job the schools have their kids doing boot camp rehearsals in the hot sun for hours for the Airport’s 50th.

Where was Owen the Secretary of Education? Was he overseas on one of his CISNOC free trips?
