Parade on, hopefully…
The picture of Santa was taken at the Tropical Christmas parade in Avarua.

Fingers crossed, the weather forecast for tomorrow will not stop the Tropical Christmas in Raro Santa Parade get on the road at 4.30pm.

The annual parade was initially scheduled for last week, but because of torrential rain, organisers had to postpone the event to this week.

Weather permitting, the parade will leave from the Constitution Park, parading through town to spread Christmas cheer and treats.

Santa’s Sleigh, Ninja Turtles, Tamure Fitness dancers, Disney characters Olaf, Anna, Elsa, Mickey and Minnie, Shrek and Fiona, the Puaikura Fire Brigade and a variety of community groups will all be there to make the event loads of fun for young and old.

This week the Tropical Christmas committee and stores have specials lined up.
