Matamaru Florence Hosking Tekoronga of Titikaveka College was appointed a student leader for the third consecutive year at the school’s prefect investiture last Friday.

Tekoronga, a Year 11 or Level 1 student, said she was honoured to be selected for the role for the third time.

“I hope to inspire the students by showing that, just because you have done something once, it doesn’t mean you don’t try or do it again.”

Tekoronga’s major highlight in the past two years as student leader has been the trust that students have in her when they need to talk about things.

The opportunity to host activities and projects for the students and being able to help the teachers were some of the other highlights.
