Songs of hope

The National Auditorium came alive this week with powerful songs of the Gospel and Vairakau Maori (traditional remedies) echoing through the hall.

The lively Takamoa Theological College group (pictured) represented Tupapa Maraerenga in Te Maeva Nui’s Choir and Imene Tuki sections.

Each Te Maeva Nui team put in a great effort and beautifully sang a Choir and Imene Tuki song of their choice, and as usual the energetic women put extra energy into their Imene Tuki performances which was appreciated by the small crowd.

Last night the 2022 Te Maeva Nui awards presentation was held directly after the final Kapa Rima and Ura Pa’u performances.
