New director general for FFA acknowledged
A unique, customised wooden paddle with a specially composed message from the Cook Islands became a heartfelt gift from the country to the outgoing Forum Fisheries Director General James Movick, pictured here with his wife Herolyn Movick in between caretaker Prime Minister Henry Puna and his wife Akaiti Puna. The paddle, featuring oceanic and leadership motifs from the Cook Islands, was presented to Movick to acknowledge the achievements of the FFA under his six-year term at the helm. The just-ended 15th Forum Fisheries Ministerial hosted by the Cook Islands was Movick's fi nal ministerial event before he returns to the north Pacifi c (FSM) this November. 18070807
