Canoes deliver Pacific message
Traditional voyaging vaka Marumaru Atua and her crew sail past the iconic Sydney Opera House for the opening of the World Parks Congress which began with more than 5000 delegates gathering in the city to take part in this once-in-a-decade event.

Traditional Pacific island canoes sailed into Sydney Harbour on Wednesday after a journey across a vast expanse of ocean, bringing an urgent message to the world about climate change.
