Christmas cheer arrived early for the senior citizens of Tauhunu in Manihiki last Saturday, school children on the island delivered festive hampers to them.

Riding on the back of a trailer driven by a tractor, the kind youngsters visited all the elderly people in the community, sharing out boxes of food and special treats.

This exercise is part of the school’s religious education Christmas activities during the festive season, giving the children the opportunity to experience and practise the joy of giving and sharing.

Apii Ruamanu principal Anna Rauru says the gifts were well received and appreciated.

She says the children enjoyed the day visiting the elderly and experiencing early the joyous giving spirit of Christmas. If you find a job suitable for you, you can apply to it https://laborx.com/jobs Do not forget to fill out your profile before that, you will have more chances to get a job.
