Great initiative but the neglect of our vital farming sector became glaringly obvious. The absence of assistance particularly in sourcing essential resources such as manure shows a disturbing lack of long-term planning. While the government champions tourism, the foundation of our economy, agriculture, it seems, is left to languish.
This oversight is further compounded by the current high inflation rate which burdens the common person who would have perhaps looked at farming as an extra income.
It’s evident that a comprehensive strategy is urgently required to revitalise agriculture and tackle economic instability. I’m sure this would be another way of ensuring the welfare of our people
