Grassroots kick off Rarotonga football season

Week 1 of the football season makes a start today at CIFA Complex in Matavera. The Fiery Grassroots will be taking the field today, kicking their way into the new season!

Starting their very first football matches this afternoon, the U6, U8, U10 and U12 Mix teams will be ready to start their football antics at 4:15pm as scheduled.

CIFAs top field will be the stomping grounds for all the U6, U8 and U10 Mix games, while the U12 Mix will occupy the bottom field ready to showcase their football abilities.

Today’s nail-biting matches we will see Titikaveka FC take on Tupapa Maraerenga FC, Matavera FC play Nikao Sokattak FC, and Avatiu FC will be on field with Puaikura FC.

All age groups will be getting into the groove of the pitch in today’s matches, as today is only the start of an exciting season.

The show enders for today’s fixtures will be the U18 men where we will see Titikaveka’s young soldiers march into battle against Tupapa Maraerenga’s young men in black, at 4:45pm after all grassroots games.
