The Prince of Wales athletics day at BCI Stadium on Wednesday was a great day for athletes and spectators alike.
Timekeepers and volunteer officials from primary schools and CISA kept the show running smoothly, and Avatea were wonderful hosts – student and teacher volunteers even offered trays of fresh fruit and sandwiches to the officials sweating under the sun.
A number of public figures came out to BCI Stadium to show their support – and no doubt they, along with everyone else who showed up, walked away feeling hopeful about the future of athletics in the Cook Islands.
For the record host school Avatea won with 924 total points.
Here are some more great photos from the day.
