The match to watch at this coming weekend’s Netball Club Competition will be the unbeaten Avatiu ladies taking on Titikaveka at the Avatiu netball court.

Netball Cook Islands secretary Tekura Moeka’a said this will be the last game for the round before the knock out.

Moeka’a said while it is also the final for the league competition, supporters must also watch the Avatiu and Titikaveka match, who are both determined to reach a top spot for the round.

“Premier grades Avatiu will take on Titikaveka in Avatiu to determine the top two spots for the round. Both teams have had convincing wins,” she said.

She said Titikaveka, led by Margaret Matenga is predominantly a family squad, whose shooting circle will be hard to penetrate by Avatiu, where Penina Crocombe is leading a young, but experienced Avatiu side.

Meanwhile, in other grades, Tupapa dominates the 6U grade, Arorangi strong 15U team remains unbeaten, 12U Takuvaine is looking to finish round in the top 2 for their category.

Other matches this week will feature Tupapa who willl host Arorangi and Ngatangiia/Matavera will host Takuvaine.

She said the knock outs next week see top two teams for each grade go straight to the semi-finals while 3rd will play 5th and 4th will play 6th. Winners will proceed to semis.
