With just two more swim lessons to go parents are encouraged to get their little ones along to the Social Centre for the ANZ Tamariki Sports programme swim lessons which are sure to give kids the water confidence they need for summer.

ANZ Tamariki Sports programme coordinator Ake Hosea-Winterflood will run her last two swimming lessons tomorrow (December 7) and next Wednesday (December 14).

Hosea says that the programme has been running really well and despite last weeks torrential rains a good number of brave swimmers turned out for their lessons.

The hour long programme teaches children safety around water as well as basic swimming techniques designed to instil confidence in the young swimmers.

The final day of swimming, December 14, will also see prizes handed out to stand out and improving swimmers thanks to the programmes main sponsor ANZ Bank.

Hosea encourages those kids that have been taking part in the lessons to keep it up with just two more lessons to go.

Swimmers should get down to the Nikao Social Centre tomorrow at 4pm.
