Matai sports gear makes debut

Monday 15 February 2010 | Published in Regional

After a week of rugby league in their new Matai Sports uniforms, the 2009 club rugby league champions the Tupapa-Maraerenga Panthers report they feel like NRL stars in their new gears.

The Panthers club is the first sports team on the island to take advantage of the Fiji-based team wear manufacturer with the Avatiu Eels awaiting their order.

The Fiji company is a new venture for owner Stewart Nolan who is keen to give talented Pacific athletes the best in team uniforms to enhance their performance.

Matai Sports boasts garments with ‘island toughness’ worn by warriors of today.

Matai Sports have unique and striking Pacific designs on their sports garments which are made from elite state of the art fabrics which are said to help improve an athlete’s performance.

The manufacturer can provide team wear for rugby union and league teams, soccer, basketball touch rugby and netball uniforms to name a few.

Plus the company can also supply training gear and equipment as well as supporters’ gear.

For a brochure on what Matai Sports can provide for your team and to find out more about the company, contact local agent Sylvia George 51116.

George visited the Panthers premier grade at training on Saturday to present them with nine training rugby balls supplied by Matai Sports as part of its community support programme.
