Bodybuilders strut their stuff today

The International Federation Of Body Building (IFBB) South Pacific Oceania competition starts today with pre- judging from 9am at the National Auditorium.

President of IFBB Cook Islands, Joe Daniel, says about 40 contestants including women will compete in various classes weights.

Registrations and weigh-ins were conducted yesterday at the Top Shape Health and Fitness gym.

Contestants from the Cook Islands, New Caledonia, Tahiti, Samoa, American Samoa, New Zealand, Australia and Tonga will take part, taking the stage for the main event at 6pm this evening.

In late October four Cook Islands body builders: Joseph Ave, Samuel Tatuava, Aaron Enoka and Joshua Goodrick, entered the South Pacific Body Building Federation in Fiji.

They proudly returned home with medals in the following categories: A Gold - Men’s Physique over 180cm, Gold - Men’s Masters, Bronze - Men’s Juniors Bodybuilding, Silver - Men’s Under 80s, Bronze - Men’s Under 85s and a Bronze - Men’s Under 95s.
