Five-star cruise ship visits Aitutaki and Rarotonga
Cruise ship MS Europa arrived in Rarotonga at 7am yesterday (Tuesday) carrying 319 passengers and 280 crew. 23021405

The five-star service liner stopped over in Aitutaki on Monday where 248 passengers disembarked to tour around the island, snorkel and enjoyed the local cuisines. They also visited the islands of Maina, One Foot and Honeymoon.

In Rarotonga, passengers booked onto the Raro Circle Island Tours with Mark Short and Jane Rubena’s Manavanui dance team, Captain Tama’s Lagoon Cruise, Takitumu Conservation Tour, Raro Safari and private tours around the island.

MS Europa departed Rarotonga at 5pm yesterday for Nukualofa followed by Fiji then onto New Zealand.

MS Europa is a 400-guest luxury ship offering voyages to destinations through Australasia, Europe, the Far East and the Caribbean.

She joined the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises fleet in 1999, has the capacity for 408 passengers, carries 285 crew, has a tonnage of 28,437 and measures 651 ft in length.

The cruise ships scheduled to visit Aitutaki and Rarotonga next month are: Rarotonga – Thursday, March 2 MSC Magnifica, Aitutaki – Friday, March 3 MSC Magnifica; Aitutaki – Saturday, March 25 Hanseatic Nature, Rarotonga –Sunday, March 26 Hanseatic Nature and Aitutaki – Monday, March 27 Paul Gauguin.
