Liloa II brings much needed freight

The arrival of a cargo vessel over the weekend is set to bring

Island favourite Sunrice brand rice will be available at Rarotonga shops from today.

Cargo vessel Liloa II (pictured behind Grinna II and Taunga Nui) arrived on Saturday, bringing in the much-needed freight including rice.

Rarotonga has been facing rice shortage since last month and last week, almost all shops, except CITC Supermarket, ran out of supplies.

The Convenience Store and Prime Foods will be able to restore its stocks this week.

Prime Foods owner Dan Forsyth said the supermarket will have rice in stock today.
