Tourist due in court following alcohol fuelled incident

A tourist accused of damaging holiday accommodation on Rarotonga while under the influence of alcohol has a date in court today.
Police confirmed the man, 25, is due to appear in the court at Avarua following an arrest on Tuesday evening.
Police spokesman Trevor Pitt said the accused was held in custody at Arorangi Prison, then bailed to appear in court.
He is accused of damaging a home while under the influence of alcohol and faces a charge of wilful damage.
