It has been an exciting couple of months for grassroots football - but today’s the day.

CIFA Complex is the place to be at 4.15pm, come down and watch our future football stars showdown in their final battle of the year.

When entering the complex you will first see the youngest division, the U6 mix, Titikaveka’s little blue soldiers, who have no yet been defeated will play Matavera’s fierce ballers to see who will take home the KO Cup.

This division has showcased exciting matches that have had parents and supporters surround their field, and there is no doubt that this game will keep you on your toes.

Tupapa Maraerenga’s U8 mix have been a tough team to beat this year, and so have their competitors Avatiu.

These two have fought well and hard for their placing in the final, and will be head strong when going up against each other today.

These young ones have shown potential throughout the 2021 season and are a lot to keep your eyes on today.

Avatiu hold the round cup championship in the U10 mix competition and will aim to take the Knock Out Cup, but so will Tupapa Maraerenga who seat just under them.

Both teams have been the ones to beat this year and bring in multiple skills on both ends, and drive when playing.

These talented footballers will have their work cut out for them, as these two are evenly matched.

Our oldest of the grades stand on the last field, the U12 mix where Avatiu will play Matavera for their final battle.

Matavera have continuously brough game to the field every week, a never-ending ambition, and have fought their way through the season to gain their place in the finals, while Avatiu sit on top with their skillful lot of ballers.

Matavera will be a challenge for them this final match.
