Knockout football continues today

Thursday 29 November 2018 | Written by Jaimie Keay | Published in Soccer

After an action-packed start to the knockout competition yesterday, the do-or-die battle continues with two exciting fixtures lined up for today.

Puaikura will play Matavera in the under-14 boys division, while Titikaveka and the Puaikura senior women’s teams take on each other at 5pm to determine who goes through to the semifinals.

The Titikaveka women’s team fell short of winning the 2018 Round Cup title by one point behind Tupapa Maraerenga and will want to set their sights now on taking out the knockout competition silverware.

The side has the players and skill to do just that, but will have to do battle with Puaikura in what promises to provide a fierce contest.

Make no mistake, this Puaikura side is tough and strong-willed despite their uncalculated success throughout the Round Cup Competition

The knockout cup will provide much to captivate the football community on Rarotonga over the coming two weeks.
