Raemaru Park will host round two of the Rarotonga Club 15s competition this weekend. Arorangi Bears will be going all out tomorrow to secure their first win in the domestic rugby union competition after losing the season opener last weekend.

The side went down to defending champions Tupapa Panthers 3-27 last Saturday at Victoria Park.

The Bears were in the match after trailing 0-10 at the break but lost all chances of a comeback when Panthers speedster Peniasi Dakuwaqa scored two long range solo tries in the second spell.

Tomorrow in the main Senior A match at 4pm, the Bears will host the arch-rivals Avatiu Nikao Eels.

The Eels did not have to break any sweat to register their first win last week after Takitumu, who is on bye this weekend, failed to turn up for the match. Takitumu is struggling to put together a team for the 2021 Rarotonga Club 15s competition.

The round two competition will kick off with Under-9/11 Quick Rip followed by the U13 10s, U16s match, women’s 7s before the Senior A battle between the Panthers and Takuvaine at 2.30pm.
