Xmas drinks stops for Hash

The annual Christmas Hash gathering has entered the books once again, thanks to new Hares John and Leonie Carter from their humble High Commissioners abode in Ngatipa.

All gathered for Run 1624 in wonderful Christmas garb not to mention Mr and Mrs Claus aka Razor and Blade, and Wakka in his Santa hot pants who were very impressive indeed.

Hackneed welcomed all including a Christchurcher, a couple more Alaskans and a bunch more Ozzies from Perth!

A Merry Xmas ensued from Hash announcing all drinks were free and hare John announced the special Xmas trail.

For Turkeys it was down the road, back up through the front gate and into the pool which most hoffspring chose. For the rest, it was On On to Chillis Bar for a cold one, then to Bamboo Jacks for another and with the special hash horn squealing again, it was onto Whatever for another, then Traders for yet another!

Then it was back to base for more!

A myriad of nibbles was available and it was then on to the announcements.

A huge Xmas cheer was sounded for the trail and venue, with the Hash Waifs and Strays Xmas day announced and will be held at the Carter residence with details to follow.

It was then on to namings with hares John and Leonie Carter called forward.

Fonz read the diatribe, which summed up John from arriving on the island and always being in the forefront and on the front page of the local newspaper he will now be known as Full Frontal!

Leonie was next, following on from her man, being in the background and being the back bone became Back Bench!

Both names were received well indeed.

The Parrys then piped up to be the next Hares for Boxing Day, from their abode in Vaimaanga or the old Sheraton.
