Cook Islands Rugby Union has confirmed its womens rugby sevens team which will take part in the Asia-Pacific Womens sevens tournament to be held in Malaysia from September 23-25.

Unfortunately the Cooks will be missing its Pacific Games try scoring winger Nareta Marsters who suffered an injury playing rugby at the weekend.

The Cooks sevens team debuted at this same tournament in 2010 and finished in a respectable 3rd place so they will be hoping to repeat or better last years results.

The team departs for Auckland this Saturday, September 17 and will return on September 27.
