Master tennis players have smashed out the cobwebs over the past few days in the veterans tennis tournament which wraps up with the grand finals this Saturday at the Nikao Tennis Centre.

The tennis centre has since Tuesday night hosted some of the islands tennis legends during the vets tournament including the likes of Margharet Matenga, Willie John and Tupou Faireka, to name a few.

The tournament, for players 35 years and over, is being played in the singles and doubles format with lots of fun and skills on display.

Some competitive tennis was seen by doubles partnership Brian Baudinet and Nooroa Samuels who hustled to take the points on offer.

In the singles division Tanya Savage is the lady to watch while up and comers Liz Woods and Madeline Sword-Tua are sure to hit their stride come Saturday.

The general public is more than welcome to head along to the courts over the next few evenings to watch and cheer on the players giving it a go on the tennis courts.
