Rarotonga children aged between four and 15 will have the opportunity to give the multi discipline sport of triathlon a go at the school holiday break coming up in three weeks.

Level one accredited triathlon coach and Tereora College physical education teacher Vanessa Palmer will be running a kids triathlon event on Friday, April 20, which is in the second week of the holidays.

There will be a whole range of courses and distances the kids can challenge themselves to over from the splash, bike and run course for the babes right up to a course including a 100m swim, 4km bike and 1km run for the older kids.

Palmer is preparing to run the kids triathlon from Ngatangiia but the venue is yet to be confirmed.

She says that it will be a come one, come all type of event with loads of fun.

Helmets for the cycle leg are compulsory. Those interested in getting the kids involved in this great event can contact Vanessa Palmer for more information.
