Local tennis star Brittany Teei has won her second match of the Pacific Games womens tennis singles tournament to progress in the competition.

Teei faced a Wallis and Fortuna opponent on Friday where she won 6-1, 6-4 but Teei admits she could have done better and she can do better.

I know I can do so much better but she had a slower pace than me and I think I just had way to much time to think about my shots, says the rising tennis star.

My serve wasnt that on today but it was a good game to practise some of my shots for future games.

Her fellow Cook Islands player Davina Hosking bowed out of the elimination tournament where a loss is a knockout from the competition.

Hosking faced a powerful hitting New Caledonian opponent and lost 6-1, 6-2.

The duo then took to the court for the womens doubles tournament winning their first match 6-0, 6-2 to stay in the competition.
