Paddling workshop in Muri

Wednesday 30 May 2012 | Published in Regional

After the successful Te Aito Cook Islands races on Friday and Monday, event champions Vesna Radonich, Serena Hunter, Reuben Dearlove and Taaroaiti Teheiura along with experienced paddlers from Tahiti will be running a V1 paddling workshop today.

Veteran French Polynesian paddler and Te Aito Tahiti founder Charlie Maitere (below)will be among those providing sage advice.

The top paddlers will run the workshop at Muri beach in front of the Pacific Resort from 4.30pm and paddlers of all ages and skill levels are invited to take advantage of this opportunity to learn from the best.

There will be a number of V1 canoes at Muri but you might want to take your own for the demonstrations and one-on-one tutoring.
