The rugby league masters will be playing their last game of the mini tournament this afternoon before the under 16 grand finals at Tupapa field.

This is quite fitting to the occasion as the League Masters is the major sponsor of the under 16 grade so they will be there in full force to support the first grand final of the weekend.

Due to the under 16 game being played today, the programme for the masters has been adjusted to kick off at 1.30pm with the first game to be between the Otara Scorpions and the Central Chiefs, followed by the game between Takitumu and Mongoose at 2.30pm and the last game sees the Rutaki Sharks taking on the Ngatama Warriors from Australia at 3.30pm.

It will certainly be a full afternoon of rugby league at its best today at the Tupapa field so be there early to see the Central Chiefs representing the three chiefs of Te Au O Tonga, take on the venomous Otara Scorpions.

Wednesday’s games were held at the Nikao field with a huge turnout of players and supporters.

Ngatama kept the ball close to their try line while Mongoose scattered all over the field in an attempt to defend the try line.

A reminder to all players to wear correct shorts otherwise you will not be allowed to participate in the game and especially the tournament.

The public is invited to attend the games and cheer on the papas.

Today’s draw – 1.30pm-Chiefs vs Scorpions, Ref-T Dixon and N Takaiti, 2.30pm-Sharks vs Takitumu, Ref-T Utanga and N Takaiti, 3.30pm-Mongoose vs Tigers, Ref-S Church and N Takaiti.
