Friday 12 August 2011 | Published in Regional

Today and tomorrow are your last opportunities to buy a Team Cook Islands monster raffle to be in to win the major prize of $30,000.

Team Cook Islands athletes and officials will today be stationed outside the BCI Bank in Avarua selling the last remaining tickets to help the team travel to New Caledonia for the Pacific Games from August 27 to September 10.

Tickets are $50 each with a total cash prize of $51,000 up for grabs.

As well as the major prize of $30,000 the second prize is $10,000 and the third prize is $5000.

The 4th prize winner will receive $2000 and 5th and 6th prize winners will walk away with $1000.

And ticket holders drawn for the 8th to 10th prize will also win $500.

If you miss the Team Cook Islands raffle sellers today you can catch them at the Punanga Nui market on Saturday morning before the raffle is drawn under police supervision at midday.

Team Cook Islands is hoping to raise over $190,000 to cover the cost of taking a 170-strong team to Noumea for the Pacific Games.

Show your support for the athletes preparing to fly the nations flag on one of the biggest sporting arenas in the Pacific.
