The beautiful women and big boys from Koka Lagoon Cruises successfully defended their V12 Corporate Oe Vaka race champion’s title on Saturday from 17 other crews. The final race of the day with crews HSBC Dirty Money, Island Craft Tangaroa, CITC Lickers and Fix Me Raro Cars was an intense and close battle. There was even a collision between the champions and CITC Lickers but with athletic looking bodies on board, the Koka crew were always going to be hard to beat. They won the final 250m sprint in 1.20.72, a minute ahead of previous winners HSBC and Island Craft Tangaroa in third. It was another fun and friendly day of outrigger paddling on Muri lagoon.
