The Just Play soccer grassroots programme will complete its pilot phase in schools and the community with a fun festival to be held at the CIFA complex in Matavera on Friday June 3 starting at 12 noon.

Two hundred children aged 8 to 10 years from primary schools around Rarotonga will gather at the CIFA complex to participate in Just Play activities from 12 to 1pm.

Delivering a variety of fun activities for the children will be many of the trained facilitators who played a major role in this pilot phase and through the programme have become competent, gained confidence and enjoyed the experience while encouraging the children.

The fun festival will give children an opportunity to show some of the values promoted during this programme such as responsibility and respect while they mix with children from other schools.

Cook Islands Football would like to acknowledge the Australian Government (AusAID) and Oceania Football for their funding of this grassroots social development programme.
