The Tupapa Youth Centre is the place to be tonight for the battle of the islands fight night.

The tournament will include boxers from clubs on Rarotonga as well as boxers from the outer islands here for the Te Maeva Nui celebrations.

The fight night is being hosted by the Cook Islands Amateur Boxing Association and will be used to rank boxers and by islands in the skill and art of amateur boxing.

The fight night will feature boxers from light to super heavyweight as well as exhibition matches by boxers of yesteryears.

Entry fee into the Tupapa Youth Centre is $5 and the fights start at 6.30pm.

This is also an elimination night for boxers with the final battle of the islands scheduled for August 11.
