Football round champs revealed

After 12 football matches played in the 2011 Rarotonga football season, Tupapas premier mens team have claimed the Lotto Round Cup Championship.

Tupapa Maraerenga held out against Nikao Sokattak with one point ahead by 32 points to 31 for Sokattak to retain the Lotto Round Cup championship for another year.

Following their premier mens side, the Tupapa senior womens have also taken out the inaugural CIPS Image & Copy Centre with 30 in front of Arorangi who have achieved 27 points for their efforts while Nikao Sokattak will take third place on 20.

On top of this, Tupapa have also claimed the SAVA under 14 boys championship ahead of Nikao Sokattak by six points.

In the Under 14 Girls division, Avatiu have stamped their authority in taking out the 2011 Round Championship ahead of Arorangi by four points while Titikaveka sit in third place on 19.

The Knockout Cup Competition will kick off today with first round eliminations.

Draw and venue for today at the Matavera School grounds 4.15pm-Under 14 Boys, Matavera vs Takuvaine (3rd & 6th), Ref: Robert Savage, Assistant refs: Tino Napa and Mata Iroa, 5.00pm-Senior Women, Nikao Sokattak vs Takuvaine (3rd & 6th), Ref: Robert Savage, Assistant refs: Tino Napa and Mata Iroa.

Friday December 2 at the Matavera School grounds 4.15pm-Under 14 Girls, Titikaveka vs. Takuvaine (3rd & 6th), Ref: John Pareanga, Assistant refs: Maara Kaukura and Robert Savage, 5.00pm-Premier Men, Takuvaine vs. Avatiu (3rd & 6th), Ref: John Pareanga, Assistant refs: Maara Kaukura and Robert Savage.
