This week’s three senior A grade rugby matches are all worthy of the ‘main match’ title with some intriguing match ups.

However, the CITC main match of the week will be the clash between the Tupapa Panthers and the Ngatangiia Flying Dragons.

The Dragons are possibly the hot favourites heading into this match on the back of two wins after beating the Arorangi Cowboys 12-10 in the first week followed up with a solid 22-0 win over the Takuvaine Warriors.

The Dragons will face a bruised Panthers squad who have yet to register a win in this early stage of the season.

And no doubt they will be wanting to get their season on track against the confident Dragons this Saturday.

Tupapa are missing some of the more senior players and are currently relying on some of their young guns, and with 10 weeks left in the 13 week competition – there’s plenty of time for the youngsters to find their groove.

Meanwhile the Dragons’ secret weapon is their flying Fijian backline that seem to be unstoppable with ball in hand and space to run.

In other Senior A grade matches – the winless Cowboys and Warriors will go head to head and this is sure to be a tussle as neither team will want to be at the bottom of the pile.

Out in the country, the in-form Titikaveka Bulls will host the Avatiu Eels and both these two sides face off with two wins each under their belts.

The Bulls have been the surprise package so far this season storming both the Warriors and Panthers in the first two games of the season, while the Eels have slid their way to two wins as well.

So get your village colours on and get out to the rugby this Saturday and support your teams.
