The Muri Creeps cricketers are the Raro Computer Man mens round robin competition champions this week after victory in their match against the Arorangi Red Backs.

After winning a tight match against the Titans in the morning the Red Backs travelled to Muri in the afternoon to play what had effectively become the round robin final.

Winning the toss Creeps skipper Bobby Hunter elected to bat first.

Opening bat Alan Syme provided the cement of the innings after Creeps wickets began to fall regularly primarily through pressure from young Red Back left-armer Tuaine Mamanu.

Pressure situation - enter Mike Hoff who produced a match winning performance to turn the game, unleashing a controlled performance to blaze 106 runs, getting the Creeps to a commanding total of 253.

The Red Backs run chase didnt start well as Hoff again featured, bowling well to take 3 wickets, together with his opening partner and national player Tiri Toa (5 wickets).

The Titans proved too much for the All Stars in their match, with three Titans notching up half centuries including a 131 runs by Rob Samuel.

Takuvaine TKV hosted the Panthers in their much anticipated catch up match.

Terry Williams crediting an all round solid batting performance from the team, including a massive six by the right Honourable Mark Brown, as the catalyst for their win.

After round robin play, the Red Backs head into the Top 4 competition in 2nd place followed by Titikaveka (3rd) and Turangi (4th). Avatiu Nikao (1st) and Takuvaine (2nd) topped out the bottom six table as they head into the Super 6 series this weekend.
