The second round of the three-week CITC rugby sevens programme kicks off again this Friday at the Avatiu field.

The tournament ran as the pre-season sevens tournament in early June as a way to get players back into the groove for the main club rugby 15s season and in preparation for the Oceania Sevens Championships in Samoa this coming October.

Week 2 games of the tournament kick off at 4pm this Friday with the under 13 teams taking the field first.

The baby Eels in the under 13 grade will face the Ngatangiia-Matavera Dragons followed by the match between the baby Cowboys and Tupapa Panthers.

The third under 13 game of the day will be between the Takuvaine Reds and the Titikaveka Bulls.

At 4.51pm the under 16 teams will shine on the field with the first match scheduled between the Tupapa Panthers and Avatiu Eels followed by the Titikaveka Bulls taking on the Ngatangiia-Matavera Dragons.

The final game of the day is scheduled for 5.25pm between the Takuvaine Reds under 16 team and the Arorangi Cowboys.

A full afternoon of sevens will then be played at the Swamp on Saturday starting at 12pm with the under 19 grade followed by the senior A grade matches.
