Tuesday 25: Since arriving in Rarotonga, New Zealand Olympics gold medal sailboarder Barbara Kendall has had a busy schedule starting with being the guest speaker at the Team Cook Islands sailing squad fundraiser last Friday night.

Kendall is the chairperson of the Oceania National Olympic Council athletes commission and is being hosted by the Cook Islands Sports and National Olympic Committee and Sailing Cook Islands.

After the sailing fundraiser, Kendall held a training session with Sailing Cook Islands national team and junior sailors and ocean sailing on Sunday afternoon.

Yesterday morning Kendall visited a number of local schools before attending a luncheon hosted by CISNOC for the Rarotonga schools that were part of the adopt a country programme during the recent World Youth Netball Championships.

Kendall also took part in an athletes training workshop on Monday night before being hosted to dinner by CISNOC president Sir Geoffrey Henry and secretary general Rosie Blake.

Today Kendall is scheduled to meet with CISNOC president and executive board for lunch before a site visit to the Telecom Sports Arena this afternoon.

And before returning home on Wednesday, Kendall is scheduled to hold a final sailing training session with the PMG sailing team at 11am. - MW
