Bowls for primary kids

Four primary school lawn bowling teams took to the green on November 5 for the inter-school lawn bowls tournament.

Avarua School, two St Josephs teams and Apii Te Uki Ou lined up on the green for the exciting tournament which included games in singles, pairs, triples and fours format.

Avarua school cleaned up in the singles, pairs and triples tournament while Apii Te Uki Ou fours team of Hianimin Oti, Kalei Veia, Simiona Veia and Anthony Makara took out the division.

The day ended with a sausage sizzle provided by the Rarotonga Bowling Club, and was enjoyed by all who played as well as the many sponsors and supporters.

A special meitaki maata to Mama Vana and Papa Bob for the fantastic support and the hours spent coaching the junior bowlers.
